Who we are

This website is operated by PHLOEM INTERNATIONAL LEARNING CENTRE – LLC, a licensed learning institute in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We run three centres, at Hamdan Street, Madinat Zayed and Mussaffah.

In this policy, “we” and “us” mean PHLOEM. “You” means whoever is using this site — in most cases a parent or guardian enquiring about a child, and sometimes an adult student enquiring for themselves.

What we collect

Only what you type into an enquiry form, and only the fields shown on it. Depending on the form, that is:

• your name
• your phone number
• the programme you are asking about
• your child’s grade or year group
• anything you choose to write in the message box

We do not ask for your address, your identity documents, your child’s school records or any payment details anywhere on this website. If a page ever appears to ask you for those, do not fill it in — tell us instead.

How your enquiry actually reaches us

This matters, so we are being exact about it rather than general.

That means two things. First, your enquiry only reaches us once you send the WhatsApp message — if you close the window before sending, we never receive it and no copy exists anywhere. Second, the message travels through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by Meta’s own privacy terms, not ours.

If you would rather not use WhatsApp, call us or send an email instead. The details are in clause 09.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to answer your question, and to arrange a free trial class if that is what you want. That is the whole purpose.

We do not sell your information, we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you made an enquiry.

Who sees it, and how long we keep it

Your enquiry is seen by the coordinator handling admissions and, where relevant, by the tutor who would teach your child. Nobody outside PHLOEM sees it.

Because enquiries arrive as WhatsApp messages, they stay in that conversation thread on our phone until we delete it. We clear enquiry threads that did not lead to enrolment periodically. If your child enrols, the information you gave becomes part of our ordinary student records, which are kept for as long as they are with us and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers.

Two pieces of ordinary website software do set cookies in the normal course of working: our caching system, which helps pages load quickly, and our security plugin, which helps block malicious traffic. Neither is used to build a profile of you.

Children

Our students are children, so this deserves saying clearly.

We expect enquiries about a child to be made by that child’s parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child through this website, and none of our forms are addressed to children.

The information you give us about your child — their grade, and what they are finding difficult — is used to place them with the right tutor and nothing else.

Photographs

Some photographs on this website were taken at our centres. We use photographs of children only where the parent or guardian has agreed. If you see a photograph of your child that you would like removed, tell us and we will take it down — you do not need to give a reason.

Your rights

Under the UAE’s data protection law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) you can ask us to:

• tell you what information about you we hold
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete what we hold, where we are not required to keep it
• stop contacting you

Ask us in any of the ways in clause 09. We will not charge you for it, and we will not ask why.

How to reach us

Changes to this policy

If how we handle your information changes, we change this page and update the date at the top. We do not make changes quietly and backdate them.
