One to one tuition in Abu Dhabi. One problem at a time.

Two ways to learn: one to one, or a group of five
Both run with the same tutors, the same session length and the same written plan. The difference is who else is in the room.
One to one
One tutor, one student, one worked problem at a time. Nothing is skipped because the room has to keep moving. It suits a child who has fallen a long way behind, and equally a child who is a long way ahead and bored.
This is what most parents mean when they look for a private tutor in Abu Dhabi — with one difference. The session happens at the centre or online, not at your kitchen table.
A group of five
Small enough that the tutor knows exactly where each child is. Children explain things to each other, which is usually the moment they find out what they actually understand. Five is the limit, and we hold it.
Tuition by grade, Grade 1 to Grade 12
What a child needs from a tutor changes completely between Grade 3 and Grade 11. These are the four stages we plan around.
Grade 1–5Building the habit before the syllabus
gets heavy
At this stage almost nothing is genuinely difficult yet, so tuition is not about rescue. It is about reading fluently, writing a full sentence without being asked twice, and knowing tables well enough that arithmetic stops being the hard part of a maths question.
Sessions stay short in attention span and long in patience. Parents usually notice homework taking half the time it used to before they notice a mark change.
Grade 6–8Where most children quietly fall
behind
Science splits into ideas that need to be understood rather than remembered, and maths turns abstract. This is the stage where a child can pass every test and still be building on a gap, and it is the most common point at which parents call us.
We find the gap first. That is what the assessment is for, and it is why the plan is written down rather than agreed in a corridor.
Grade 9–10The board year, and the year before
it
Grade 10 is a board year and it is treated as one. Past papers, timed practice, and the specific discipline of writing an answer that earns the marks it deserves rather than the marks it half deserves.
Grade 9 matters more than most families expect, because almost everything Grade 10 assumes was taught the year before.
Grade 11–12Science or Commerce, and the subjects
that decide the stream
By now tuition is subject-specific and stream-specific. On the Science side that usually means Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. On the Commerce side it is Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics, with Mathematics where the student has taken it.
Grade 12 tuition is planned backwards from the board dates, not forwards from wherever the class happens to be.
What we tutor
We follow the CBSE syllabus, so what we tutor is simply what the board prescribes for your child’s grade. Through the primary grades that means English, Hindi, Mathematics and Environmental Studies, taught slowly enough that the foundation actually holds.
From Grade 6 the syllabus opens out into Science and Social Science alongside English, Hindi and Mathematics, and this is where most tuition begins. We follow Indian Social Science rather than UAE Social Studies. Arabic and Hindi are tutored up to Grade 10, as are Islamic Education and Moral Education.
At senior level the work becomes stream-specific: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics on the Science side, and Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics on the Commerce side. If a subject is on your child’s syllabus and it is not named here, ask — the answer is almost always yes.
At the centre, or online
Oh My Tutor runs at all three of our centres in Abu Dhabi, and as online tuition anywhere. The teaching is identical — the same tutors, the same ninety minutes, the same written plan. Only the room changes.

We would rather have your child in the room. Online exists because sometimes that is not possible.
What a 90-minute session looks like
Arrive, settle, and show the tutor last week’s work. Nothing starts until we know what happened since we last met.
The first wrong answer. This is the useful part of the session, and it is why the tutor asks your child to work rather than watch.
The part that finally lands. Once it does, the same idea gets used again immediately, on a harder question, while it is still fresh.
What to do before next time — written down, small enough to actually be done, and checked at the start of the next session.

Fees
We do not publish fees, because what a family pays depends on the grade, the number of sessions a week, and whether the sessions are one to one or in a group of five. Ask and we will send the full structure, with nothing left out.

Can we switch between one to one and the group of five?
Yes, and families do. Some children start one to one to close a gap and move into a group of five once they are keeping up. Others go the other way before a board year. The plan moves with the child.
Do you tutor the British curriculum or IB, or CBSE only?
CBSE. We follow the CBSE syllabus, which is what our tutors teach every day and what the written plans are built around. If your child is on another curriculum, tell us the subject and the level and we will say honestly whether we can help.
How many sessions a week does my child need?
Most students take two a week per subject while they are catching up, and one a week once they are steady. We will tell you after the trial class and the assessment, and we would rather recommend fewer sessions that get done than more that get missed.
Do you tutor for the Grade 10 and Grade 12 board exams?
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Board preparation is planned backwards from the exam dates, using past papers and timed practice, so the last month is revision rather than teaching.
